This policy covers the Venue Scout NYC website, venue-search API, and the public venue information they provide.

Browsing this website

This is a static informational site. We do not add analytics, cookies, accounts, tracking pixels, or browser storage. The landing pages have no forms. Venue searches run through the API described below.

The hosting provider may process ordinary connection information, such as IP addresses and request logs, to deliver and secure the website. The site's code does not collect or store that information.

Public venue information

Venue information is compiled from public sources. Published rental fees and food & beverage minimums are shown where available; otherwise, we use “contact for quote.”

Searching through the API

The API receives search filters, such as headcount, budget, neighborhood, and amenities, plus the API key sent by the calling service. It uses them to authenticate the request and filter a public venue dataset in memory. The application does not create user accounts, retain search histories, or log API keys or search parameters.

Netlify hosts the website and API and may process request metadata, including IP addresses and URLs, for delivery, security, and operational logs. Hosting-log retention depends on the provider and account settings. Avoid including personal or sensitive information in search filters.

Using Muse or contacting a venue

Following the Muse link takes you to a separate service. Muse and any venue you contact handle information you share with them under their own policies. Muse may send selected search filters to this API when you use the connector. Muse's own storage, account, and conversation handling are covered by its policies, not this policy.
